You can't beat a good 'impy' and this one does not disappoint! It packs a punch in all the ways an imperial stout should: strong, rich, intense and big on roasty, coffee and dark fruit aromas. 7.2% ABV.
This stout lends itself to a bit of experimentation if you dare. You can secondary ferment on oak chips with a bit of bourbon to give it a barrel aged feel and/or add some rich espresso coffee or vanilla to take it to a new dimension.
Malt: Pale, Roasted Barley, Flaked Oats, Crystal
Hops: Magnum, East Kent Goldings
Yeast: S-04 English Ale (dry). Can be upgraded to Wyeast 1028 London Ale (liquid yeast 'smack-pack' activator) in pouch.
Comes with dextrose for priming, sanitiser and instructions.
Wyeast is suitable for experienced brewers, we only provide one pack per kit & we recommend making a starter.
