Our own SMaSH (Single Malt and Single Hop) recipe showcasing Simcoe, the American hop launched in 2000 by Yakima Chief in the Pacific Northwest. Simcoe is suited to both bittering and aroma and gives a pleasant fruity yet earthy herb and pine aroma. This 5.2% IPA is heavy on late addition hops with a generous dry hop and includes an extra pack which you can double dry hop with or store away for another brew if you wish.
Malt: Pale
Hops: Simcoe
Yeast: US-05 American Ale (dry). Can be upgraded to Wyeast 1272 American Ale II (liquid 'smack-pack' activator) in pouch suitable for up to 23L batch
Comes with dextrose, sanitiser and instructions.
Wyeast is suitable for experienced brewers, we only provide one pack per kit & we recommend making a starter.
